Georgia Transfer FAQ

The questions travelers ask us most before booking: exactly where we'll be waiting at the airport, what a transfer actually costs, and what happens if your flight runs late. Can't find your answer here? Message us on Telegram or WhatsApp — we usually reply within minutes, any time of day.

Airport Pickup

?Where exactly do you meet passengers at Tbilisi Airport (TBS)?

Your driver waits in the international arrivals hall, just past baggage claim and passport control, in the open meeting area where transfer drivers and agencies typically stand with signs. They'll be holding a sign with your name, and we send you the driver's direct phone number in your confirmation a few hours before landing. For the full route breakdown and pricing, see the Tbilisi Airport transfer page.

?Where do you meet passengers at Kutaisi Airport (KUT)?

Kutaisi Airport is small — one terminal, one exit from baggage claim, so there's really nowhere to get lost. Your driver waits right at the exit with a name sign. Pickup details and pricing are on the Kutaisi Airport transfer page.

?Where do you meet passengers at Batumi Airport (BUS)?

Batumi Airport is even smaller than Kutaisi: one arrivals hall, one exit — your driver will be waiting right outside the doors, also with a name sign. Pickup details, pricing, and notes on the Turkish border crossing are on the Batumi Airport transfer page.

?How much time should I allow for passport control so I don't keep my driver waiting?

At Tbilisi, especially in the evening when several wide-body flights land close together, baggage claim and passport control can take 20–40 minutes. Kutaisi and Batumi are smaller airports served mostly by budget carriers, so 10–20 minutes is typical. Either way, there's nothing to plan around: we track your actual landing time by flight number and time the driver's arrival so they're never waiting for you before you've even reached the exit.

?What if I walk out of the terminal and don't see my driver?

First, check your messages — if the pickup area at that terminal is busy or under construction, your driver or dispatcher usually messages ahead with exactly where to find them. If it's been 5–10 minutes since you cleared arrivals and still no driver in sight, call the number in your booking confirmation or message our dispatch team — they're reachable 24/7 and will sort it out within a couple of minutes.

?Is there an extra charge for a very early or late-night flight?

No — the price is the same regardless of the hour. A 4am arrival or a midnight landing changes nothing about the cost; our dispatch team and drivers run around the clock precisely so odd-hour flights don't become a headache for either of us.

?How long do you wait for free if my flight is delayed?

Free waiting time runs up to 60 minutes from the moment your flight actually touches down, not the scheduled time. We track delays automatically by flight number, so there's nothing you need to recalculate — your driver will already know the real arrival time by the time you're off the plane.

Price & Payment

?What will the transfer actually cost — will you add anything once we're on the road?

No, we won't. The price is locked in when you book and doesn't move — not for traffic, not for border waiting time, not if the route ends up slightly longer because a road is closed. You pay exactly the figure you saw when booking. Current rates across all 35 routes are on our prices page.

?Can I pay by card, or is it cash-only in lari?

We accept several payment methods: cash to the driver in lari, card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), or online in advance via PayPal. Pick whichever works for you when you book — and if your preference changes at the last minute, just let the dispatcher know.

Booking & Changes

?What if my flight is delayed — will the driver leave without me?

No. We know about a delay before you do, because we track your flight by number rather than by the scheduled time on your booking. Pickup time adjusts automatically, and free waiting runs up to 60 minutes past actual landing — so it's fine to book ahead even for a flight with a history of running late.

?What if my plans change and I need to cancel or reschedule at the last minute?

Message us on any messenger as early as you can, and we'll move your pickup to a better time — no interrogation required. Travel plans shift; we'd rather work around that than penalize you for it.

?How far in advance should I book?

For standard routes like the Tbilisi or Kutaisi airport transfer, a few hours' notice is usually enough. For peak season (June–September, the New Year holidays) or mountain routes like Gudauri, Kazbegi, or Svaneti, booking 1–2 days ahead is safer — it guarantees the vehicle class you actually want at the pickup time that suits you.

?Can I book a transfer right now, with no advance notice?

Yes — if a car is free, we'll dispatch one for a same-day request too; average pickup time within Tbilisi runs from about 7 minutes. But if the trip really matters — catching a flight, making an important meeting — booking ahead is the safer bet, since it guarantees the vehicle class you need.

Comfort & Safety

?There are four of us with a lot of luggage — will we even fit in one car?

Absolutely. Tell us your passenger and luggage count when booking, and we'll match you with the right class — anywhere from an economy sedan to a full-size Hyundai H1 minivan or minibus seating 8–20 people. See capacity and photos for each class on our fleet page.

?Will my driver speak English? I'm a little worried about the language barrier.

Most of our drivers understand English (or Russian) at a level that's plenty for a smooth ride — confirming the route, agreeing on a stop, explaining pickup timing. For anything more involved, just message our dispatcher on Telegram — we can step in and help while you're still on the road.

?Is it safe getting into a car with a driver I've never met, at night, in a country I don't know?

That's a completely reasonable concern — which is why every driver we work with is vetted for documentation and driving experience before they take on transfers. You'll know your driver's name and license plate in advance from your booking confirmation, and our support team is reachable 24/7 if you need anything along the way.

?How fast do you actually respond on Telegram or WhatsApp?

Usually within a few minutes — our dispatch team works around the clock, seven days a week, holidays included. Feel free to message at 3am if something's urgent; that's a normal part of running a transfer service, not an exception.
